Energy Healing / Reiki

Energy Healing is a modern day term for the ancient practice of "laying-on-of-hands". At its most basic level, energy healing describes the transfer of energy from one person to another. Today there are many types of energy healing treatments available with many different names and styles. Here at Pipestem Spa, our healing treatments begin with a consultation, follow with an analysis of your aura and chakra system and then a specialized treatment based on your chakra measurements and the issues you want to address. Energy healing can help significantly with chronic pain, body detoxification and reducing the effects of depression, anxiety and stress. Healing treatments are done with the client fully clothed. Your therapist will lightly touch your body to help balance and revitalize areas that need recharging and may pull out energetic debris that may be contributing to emotional or physical pain. You may fall asleep during the session. Energy healing is independent of religion or dogma, and is based purely in Quantum Physics, in that frequencies are used to help heal different aspects of the physical, emotional and mental bodies. Energy healing can be performed in person, or at a distance, by phone and both are equally effective.

Anna Ferraraccio is a graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing - a four year, college-level program to train professional healers. She also graduated from the Advanced Studies/Teacher Training and the Brennan Integrated Practitioner programs. Anna also holds advanced degrees in psychology and education

Castor Oil Pack

Castor Oil Pack - Soft Wool or Cotton Flannel is saturated in Castor Oil and applied to the abdomen (liver) or other area with a heating pad. Castor oil is an ancient remedy and there are hundreds of documented cases of using this treatment to clear toxins from the body. During treatment, you will be instructed in how to use your Castor Oil Pack at home, and will be given supplies for multiple treatments. This treatment is often combined with Reflexology. This treatment was suggested often by Edgar Cayce, the famous "Sleeping Prophet", and he recommended having a series of 3 caster oil pack treatments, twice a year, approximately, in the Spring and the Fall, when the seasons change.

Ear Candling

Ear Candling - During this treatment, 2-4 beeswax ear candles are used. It can be very relaxing and meditative. Ear candling is based on the principles of acupuncture, in that the meridians of energy that flow throughout the entire body, are concentrated in the ear, and the smoke from the ear candles help to balance and soothe the entire body. It also acts to help clear out years of debris and earwax accumulated over many years. This waxy material may contain evidence of past infections, pollen, ear mites, worms and even parasites. Ear candling may help with sinus or throat problems, and may help relieve symptoms of pain, itching, congestion and pressure associated with eye, nose and throat problems. After a candling treatment, you may feel lighter and you may notice an improvement with your sensations of hearing, tasting or smelling.
